Yes! You can control the content being shown on any display, anywhere in your organisation, individually. Or you can set any number of your displays to show the same thing. And you can do it from anywhere!
Q. Why not just use Windows PCs to drive the screens?
Running PCs to do this is high-maintenance. They require software licences and virus-protection that must be kept up-to-date. Configuration can also be complex. In general, it would normally require a technical expert to get a PC-based system up and running and maintained on an ongoing basis. CODA is designed for people who just want to put their stuff on the walls so we've adopted a plug-and-play approach. Our kit has a custom operating system that isn't vulnerable to viruses and crashes. You just plug it together and manage the content on your screens through our web service. The CODA kit is robust and it uses a fraction of the power of a regular PC, making it an environmentally responsible option.
Q. Do we need special cabling for a CODA system?
No - the existing networking cable found in most modern buildings is perfect for CODA, and you can choose whether to integrate it with your main network or keep the system on a network of its own.
Q. Where can the screens be located?
Screens may be located anywhere there is access to a network connection.
Q. What sort of screens can I use with CODA?
Anything with a VGA or DVI/HDMI connection, including projectors, plasmas and LCDs. All popular display resolutions are supported.
Q. What kind of content can I use?
CODA allows you to use almost any content format, including PowerPoint, PDF, HTML, RSS, JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, Photocast and iCAL. For more conventional signage requirements, video (with audio) and flash animations are supported too. For the technically proficient, CODA is so flexible it even has its own application interface (API) which can be utilised to automatically display updated information specific to your organisation (by connecting to databases, for example). The CODAweb service makes it simple to assign and schedule static or dynamic content in numerous ways.
